HOW TO USE DALCALM

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew,
crush or break it. DALCALM 10mg/1mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a
fixed time.

HOW DALCALM WORKS

DALCALM 10mg/1mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Chlordiazepoxide and trifluoperazine.
Chlordiazepoxide works by increasing the action of GABA, a chemical messenger which suppresses the abnormal and
excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain. Trifluoperazine is a typical antipsychotic. It works by
blocking the action of dopamine, a chemical messenger in the brain that affects thoughts and mood.

DALCALM TABLET RELATED WARNINGS

• Alcohol : DALCALM 10mg/1mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
• Pregnancy :1. DALCALM may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
  2. DALCALM 10mg/1mg Tablet
  There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable
  despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
• Lactation :DALCALM 10mg/1mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that
  the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
• Driving :1. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
  DALCALM 10mg/1mg Tablet make u feel dizzy, drowsy or can cause blurred vision. This may affect your
  driving ability
• Kidney : 1. DALCALM 10mg/1mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose
  adjustment of DALCALM 10mg/1mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
• Liver : 1. DALCALM 10mg/1mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment
  of DALCALM 10mg/1mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
